Governor Beshear declares state of emergency due to heavy rains, flash flooding

Heavy rain across Kentucky has led to flash flooding in some counties, and Governor Andy Beshear declared a state of emergency Saturday afternoon.  Beshear says the storms in some areas were more severe than expected and produced between 6 and 7 inches of rainfall. Students in the Pennyroyal Arts Council’s 2026 Summer Mural Art Camp unveiled a mural and two other painted pieces on Friday.   The mural is on the side of soul food restaurant WB Express and faces West 5th Street. Multi-vehicle Clarksville crash sends several to the hospital for treatment

A multi-vehicle crash on Fort Campbell Boulevard in Clarksville Thursday sent multiple people to the hospital.  According to the Clarksville Police Department, it happened at approximately 3:20 p.m. near Jack Miller Road when a vehicle crossed the center line while heading northbound, entering the path of oncoming traffic, resulting in a collision.  One patient was flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and one was flown to Skyline Medical Center in […]
