Colonel wrestlers finish 8th at Class 2-A State Duals

The Christian County High School wrestling team finished eighth place in the Kentucky Coaches Association Class 2-A State Duals Saturday in Corbin.

The Colonels defeated Franklin County 66-18, but fell 55-15 to Harrison County, 37-35 to Louisville Moore, and 42-34 to Louisville Fairdale.

Anthony Velasco and Treshawn Crenshaw both went 4-0 on the day to lead the Colonels.

Malachi James, Dane Miller, Paul Abren, Deacon Harrison, and DeAsian Harris all went 3-1 in the duals.

Others competing for Christian County included Hunter Jorgensen (1-3), Nathan Harrison (1-3), Braylan Patla (1-3), Marquis Hart (1-3), Joshua Cohoon (0-4), Brodie Smith (1-3), and Cayden Hayden (0-4).
