The Gene Haas Foundation presented an $8,000 grant to Hopkinsville Community College to provide scholarships for students enrolled in computer numerical control (CNC) programs. TVA awards $1.5 million in STEM awards to schools

The Tennessee Valley Authority and Bicentennial Volunteers Inc. have partnered once again to award $1.5 million in STEM grant awards to 339 schools across the power provider’s service region. The TVA and Bicentennial Volunteers Inc., a TVA retiree organization, annually partner to award grants to educators creating science, technology, engineering and math education projects for their students. CCHS, HHS cross-country teams hold final banquet

The Christian County and Hopkinsville high school cross-country teams held their end of the year banquets. The two teams, who competed as separate teams, but trained as one, had 90 personal records set during the 2025 season. For Christian County, Gracelyn Clark was named Best Female Athlete and Lucas Coats was named Best Male Athlete. Clark missed qualifying for state by only 32 seconds. Concrete rehab work will result in one-lane traffic on I-24 near Cadiz

Lane restrictions will be in place on Interstate 24 near Cadiz on Tuesday for additional concrete rehabilitation work. The work zone will be in place starting Tuesday, December 2, and will be during both daytime and nighttime hours. Traffic will be reduced to one-lane 24/7 during this closure. Police arrest Hopkinsville man for unlawfully entering a home, damaging property

Hopkinsville Police arrested 49-year-old Victor Vasquez of Hopkinsville after he reportedly broke into an apartment and fled from officers on Thursday. Officers responded to a residence on Virginia Street for reports of a disturbance. The victim reported that their neighbor, Vasquez, reportedly forced entry into their apartment and was destroying their property.
