University Heights Academy’s 4x400-meter relay team narrowly missed a state championship on Thursday in the KHSAA Class 1-A State Track and Field Meet in Lexington. Lady Colonels’ Adcock earns All-Region honor

Christian County senior Avery Adcock was named to the All Region 2 Softball Team on Wednesday night. Adcock, who has signed to play next year at Missouri, hit .568 with 13 home runs, 27 RBI, 11 doubles, and 36 stolen bases this season. Hoptown’s Powell to play baseball at Rend Lake College

Former Hopkinsville High School baseball player Gavin Powell will play college baseball at Rend Lake College. Powell told WHOP Sports Thursday afternoon he had committed to the school last fall. The pitcher/shortstop will play for the Hoptown Hoppers this summer. Powell hit .359 and had a 3.06 ERA this season for the Tigers. File Photo
