Four Christian County Middle School eighth grade football players were selected to the Kentucky Middle School Football Association Regional Player of the Year Honorable Mention Team. The Christian County Colonels cross country team will be running at the KHSAA State Meet for the first time in 14 years after their performance Saturday at the Class 3-A, Region 1 meet at Marshall County High School. The Hopkinsville Lady Tigers’ cross country team came within a whisker of capturing the Class 2-A, Region 1 championship Saturday at Marshall County High School. Hopkinsville Community College President and CEO Dr. Alissa Young has been honored with the Outstanding Higher Education Leadership Appreciation Award. She was presented with the award during the Louisville Defender Newspaper’s 2024 Annual Achievers Recognition Luncheon.
