Nehemiah Bailey threw for two touchdowns and the visiting Hopkinsville Middle School football team defeated Todd County Central 28-12 Thursday evening. HES sets increase to charges due to TVA rate increase

Due to a wholesale rate increase set down by the Tennessee Valley Authority, Hopkinsville Electric System will be implementing an increase to their kilowatt-hour charges.  According to a news release from HES, the TVA recently announce a 5.25 percent rate increase to begin in October of this year, affecting HES and all of the other 152 TVA power distributors. Lady Cols top Webster for 1st soccer win

The Christian County Lady Colonels picked up their first win of the high school soccer season Thursday night with a 2-0 win over host Webster County. Jayda Turner had her first career goal and Emerson Boyd added a goal for Christian County, which improved to 1-6-1 on the season. NeZiyah Bell had the shutout in goal. The Lady Colonels will play at Trigg County on Tuesday night.
