Parks and Recreation announces Movies in the Park lineup

As warm weather returns, Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation invites the community to their 2024 series of Movies in the Park which kicks off on May 10.

According to a news release, this year’s series has been modified. Instead of hosting five movies during the summer, Parks and Recreation will host three, but they have added Halloween and Christmas movie nights to the schedule.

Before each movie showing at 6 p.m., Parks and Recreation will have family fun activities such as bounce houses, arts and crafts, pick-up style sports and food trucks.

The 2024 series of Movies in the Park starts with a showing of “Wonka” on May 10 at Tie Breaker Park. The series continues with “Disney Jungle Cruise” on June 14 at the Debow Recreational Complex and “Migration” on July 26 at Ruff Park.

The series picks back up in the fall for their Halloween special on October 25 with “Hocus Pocus” and continues on December 6 with “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.”
