Local man arrested on burglary warrant

An arrest warrant for burglary was served Tuesday against a Hopkinsville man. It alleges that on October 24, 42-year old Michael McLendon of Hopkinsville went inside a home without permission and stole a television, jewelry, clothing, electronics and other property with a combined value of about $1,100. The warrant says the incident was captured on video surveillance and shows McLendon as the perpetrator. He is charged with second-degree burglary.

Western Kentucky recorded its largest margin of victory in a game downing Division Three Rhodes College 105-35 last night. Forsburg has big night in Predators win over Columbus

Filip Forsberg had a hat trick and then some in the Nashville Predators 6-0 win over Columbus. Forsberg scored four goals as he scored twice in the first period and twice in the second. Yakov Trenin and Nick Cousins also found the back of the net. Nashville goalie Juuse Saros made 27 saves in the shutout. The Preds host the Boston Bruins tomorrow night.
