Arrest made after Monday morning burglary at local gas station

Hopkinsville police arrested a man early Monday morning who allegedly forced his way into a North Main Street convenience store. Officers responded to the report of a burglary in progress at the Marathon gas station at 800 North Main about 6:15 a.m. and the window was broken and the intruder was still inside when police arrived. Austin Peay’s Perry wins OVC weekly football award

Austin Peay graduate defensive end Koby Perry was named the Ohio Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Week Sunday. The Covington, GA native recorded a career high 16 tackles in Saturday’s 17-16 loss to UT Martin. The Governors return home to host Eastern Illinois Saturday afternoon at 2 pm.

Former WKU quarterback Mike White won his first career NFL start as the New York Jets beat the Cincinnati Bengals 34-31. White threw for 405 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions to help New York improve to 2-and-5.
