LLWS canceled for this year due to pandemic

For the first time ever, the Little League World Series is being canceled due to the pandemic. Little League International announced the decision yesterday and said the tournament will return in 2021. The annual major league game in Williamsport, PA which was scheduled on August 23rd between the Boston Red Sox and Baltimore Orioles, has also been canceled. The LLWS has been played every summer since 1947.

NASCAR to return to racing with no fans this month

NASCAR announced its schedule Thursday for racing to return with no fans. The first event will be a Cup Series race May 17th at Darlington Raceway in South Carolina. Churchill Downs to begin racing later this month

Live horse racing will return to Churchill Downs beginning May 16th, but not with fans present. A schedule of events will likely be released this weekend. The Kentucky Derby was scheduled to run this weekend as tradition on the first Saturday in May. The 13 horse virtual Kentucky Derby featuring the Triple Crown winners will be held tomorrow. 1973 Triple Crown winner Secretariat is the favorite at 7-2.
