Western Hills cancels annual Gold Rush golf event

Western Hills Golf Course announced today the cancellation of the annual Gold Rush couples tournament held the first weekend of June. According to a Facebook post, manager Kris Kinsolving says the tournament is cancelled due to the pandemic. There are no plans to reschedule the event, but Kinsolving added if there is a decision to reschedule it will be posted on the Facebook page and additional places.

CCHS wrestling coach Burnham resigns following 16 seasons

Christian County athletics director Steve Lovelace tells WHOP Sports long time wrestling coach Robert Burnham has announced his resignation. Lovelace said Burnham wanted to do it at the team’s banquet, but because of COVID-19 he is making the announcement. Hopkins County plans week to honor high school seniors

Hopkins County gained only one additional COVID-19 case from Thursday to Friday and the school district there is planning a full week to honor its seniors while maintaining hope for an in-person graduation.
