CCHD receives health, preparedness awards

The Christian County Health Department is celebrating some awards they received recently from the Kentucky Public Health Association. According to a news release, department staff was awarded the Kentucky Public Health Group Award, along with the Commissioner’s Award for Preparedness and Response during the 2017 total solar eclipse.

Alhambra undergoing renovations, seats up for purchase

As the Alhambra Theatre undergoes major renovations, the Pennyroyal Arts Council intends to sell the older seats to help generate funds and impart history to citizens. According to the police report, the victim reported the dog was stolen on Wednesday when she had let it out to use the bathroom. CCSO: Standing water factor in Parkway wreck

A Greenville woman was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center Saturday following a wreck on the Pennyrile Parkway. According to a report from the Christian County Sheriff’s Department, a vehicle operated by Melissa Forst of Greenville was travelling south on the Parkway near the 8 mile marker when it hydroplaned in standing water. Former player Smith becomes new women’s hoops assistant at UK
