The Christian County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the theft of a therapy dog from the yard of a Locust Street home.
According to the police report, the victim reported the dog was stolen on Wednesday when she had let it out to use the bathroom. When she went back outside to bring the dog in it was gone. She told deputies the dog had not been tied but had never left her yard before.
The victim contacted the Christian County Animal Shelter, who informed her the dog had not been brought in. The dog is listed as a Pekingese and a therapy dog valued at $1,000.
