DOE announces $100 billion investment for Paducah data center development

The U.S. Department of Energy announced that more than $100 billion has been privately invested to redevelop a former gaseous diffusion plant site in Paducah into an artificial intelligence data center campus. The department, Brookfield Asset Management, NextEra Energy, Big Rivers Electric Power Corporation, Jackson Purchase Energy Cooperative and Paducah Power System are partnering for the redevelopment project. Gov. Beshear announces five new state economic development projects

Gov. Andy Beshear announced the approval of five new economic development projects across the state after Kentucky was awarded grants from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) at a press conference on Monday.
