Victim ID’ed in fatal Russellville accident

Russellville Police have identified the man killed in a wreck Monday afternoon on the US 68 Bypass near Walmart.

Police say 63-year old John D. Hancock of Russellville was driving a pickup on KY 178 when he collided with a semi at the intersection with the US 68 Bypass. Hancock was pronounced dead at the scene and his passenger—Ethel Poe of Todd County—was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in critical condition.

The driver of the semi was not injured.
