One injured, one arrested in Murray shooting

One person was shot and another was arrested following an incident on Sunset Drive in Murray on Monday.

According to the Murray Police Department, officers responded to Sunset Drive for reports that a shooting had occurred and arrived to find an adult female victim with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was rushed to the Murray-Calloway County Hospital.

A suspect at the scene, 45-year-ol Russell Cleaver of Murray, was taken into custody and charged with attempted murder.

He was lodged in the Calloway County Jail, and the investigation remains ongoing.
