Tigers win soccer opener with shutout of Greenwood

The Christian County Tigers opened their initial high school soccer season by shutting out host Greenwood 2-0 Tuesday night in Bowling Green. 

Joseph Lopez scored the first-ever goal for the Tigers for a 1-0 lead. 

Anthony Evangelista made it 2-0 on an assist off a corner kick from Mikel Ramirez. 

Landon Beaulieu had the shutout in goal with six saves. 

The Tigers, who gave coach William Bryan his first high school win, are scheduled to play Thursday at Madisonville-North Hopkins.
