The Hopkinsville Police Department charged a man with assault following investigation into a disturbance on Vass Lane Saturday.
According to the report, officers responded to the 600 block of Vass Lane after receiving a 911 call where no one was talking, but yelling could be heard in the background. Before the call disconnected, an individual told officers an argument was taking place.
Investigation at the scene lead to the arrest of 30-year-old Robert Bussell of Hopkinsville, who is accused of punching a victim and then strangling them to the point the victim could not breathe.
He is charged with second-degree strangulation and fourth-degree assault.
