One thing is certain about the weather this coming week—it’s going to be hot.
While things will have normal temperatures to start the week, the heat really ramps back up starting Wednesday, with National Weather Service Meteorologist Derrick Snyder saying that’s not great news for drought conditions, which will likely only worsen.
Snyder says temperatures could reach the upper 90’s, maybe even touching the 100’s, by the end of the week, with the heat index making things feel even hotter.
There is a chance of pop-up rain showers or thunderstorms during the heat of the afternoon, but nothing significant is currently in the forecast.
Heading into the weekend and next week could bring some relief from the heat, with temperatures possibly at near normal for the Fourth of July holiday.
