Woman charged with burglary, impersonating peace officer

A woman was arrested for burglary and impersonating a police officer following an alleged incident Tuesday morning on Wayne Drive.

The victim in the case says 54-year old Tammy Hardison of Hopkinsville entered her home in the 500 block of Wayne Drive about 10:45 a.m. and identified herself as a Hopkinsville police officer, threatening to handcuff her and drag her out of the home by her hair.

Hardison allegedly demanded a custom license plate from a vehicle parked at the home before walking away.

Hardison was arrested soon after and charged with second-degree burglary and impersonating a peace officer.
