Hopkinsville blanked Heritage Christian 15-0 in four innings. The Lady Tigers got three hits from Kaitlyn Kaetzel and Jakalya Grubbs. Shanyia Straight struck out nine batters and allowed the Lady Warriors one hit in getting the pitching win. Madison Warren had the only HCA hit as Kennedy Hughes took the pitching loss. Hopkinsville is now 3-11-1 on the season while HCA is 0-2 vs. KHSAA teams.
Christian County blanked Fort Campbell 15-0 in 4 innings in 8th district action. The Lady Colonels improved to 14-6 overall and 2-0 in district play while the Lady Falcons fell to 2-9 overall and 0-3 in district games.
Elsewhere: Caldwell County ponded Dawson Springs 19-4 in 3 innings, Franklin Simpson edged Logan County 5-4, Lyon County got by Trigg County 12-9, Russellville downed Todd Central 14-4 in 5 innings, Muhlenberg County topped Ohio County 13-3 in 5 innings.
