Three people were severely injured in a fiery single-vehicle accident early Saturday morning in Muhlenberg County.
It happened shortly before 2 a.m. in the 770 block of KY 189, with the Greenville Fire Department saying the car involved came to rest with its top wedged between trees and a power pole was snapped with lines down.
The vehicle caught fire and crews had to make extrication of the patients, with two flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and one taken by EMS to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital—all in critical condition.
The Greenville Police Department, Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Office and Kentucky Utilities all assisted at the scene.
