Muhlenberg County was the final team to punch its ticket to the Boys Sweet 16 after defeating Owensboro Catholic 46-31 in the 3rd Region final on Sunday. The Mustangs will meet Highlands in its opening game Thursday at 10 am Central.
University Heights will meet Bowling Green Wednesday afternoon at 1, with the First Financial Bank pregame show at 12:45 on News Radio 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP and whopam.com.
1st Region winner McCracken County will play Bullitt East Thursday at 1 pm Central.
Girls: Bowling Green is headed to the Girls Sweet 16 after downing Barren County 49-38 in the 4th Region final Sunday. The Lady Purples will meet the 10th Region winner on April 7th.
The 2nd Region representative will be determined tonight as Union County faces Henderson County in the championship game in Madisonville. Tipoff is at 6:30 pm.
