The Kentucky High School Athletic Association’s Board of Control met yesterday and voted to allow beginning Monday, team meetings on a limited basis. The board voted to allow team meetings of 10 people or less from June 1st -14th. Practices may begin in some sports on a limited basis starting June 15th.
The board also voted 13-5 to eliminate the annual dead period which runs from June 25th-July 9th for this year only. Commissioner Julian Tackett noted the reasons for not having the traditional dead period:
