Muhlenberg County spoils Lady Tigers’ soccer opener

Muhlenberg County spoiled the opening game in Christian County Lady Tigers’ soccer history as the host Lady Mustangs took a 6-2 win Thursday night. 

Kaydon Coats scored two goals in the first half as the teams went to the halftime break with Muhlenberg leading 3-2. 

The Lady Mustangs, who have scored 20 goals in their first two games, added three goals in the second half to pull away for the win. 

Carliah Hobson had an assist for Christian County (0-1), which is scheduled to play host to Logan County Saturday morning. The varsity game has been moved to a 9 a.m. start due to the heat.
