Students are eagerly—or maybe not so eagerly—awaiting the first day of school on August 19, but there’s still a couple of final things to get ready before that day, including making sure students’ vaccinations are up to date.

Chloe Rager with the Christian County Health Department says they offer all kinds of services for those heading back to school, whether they need vaccines or physicals, and they offer additional programming after that.

She says it’s easy to make an appointment—go online to christiancountyhd.com or give them a call at 270-887-4160 and they’ll get you set up in no time.

Rager says if you’re not sure of your child’s vaccine schedule or if you just need a copy of the paperwork showing they’ve been vaccinated, they have resources to help you get that information.

Rager says they accepted a wide variety of insurance, but even if you don’t have coverage, the health department can work with you and your family to make sure you’re still getting the health services you need.

Contact the Christian County Health Department today and make sure you’re squared away on your before school necessities.
