A Hopkinsville man is facing numerous charges following a vehicle pursuit in Christian County Tuesday night that ended in a crash on Christian Quarry Road.
According to the report from the Christian County Sheriff’s Department, a deputy was patrolling on Greenville Road near the First Street Extension when he noticed a vehicle with only one working headlight. When the deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the driver—later identified as 38-year-old Jordan Satterfield of Hopkinsville—reportedly failed to stop and a pursuit began.
That pursuit continued down Greenville Road, on East Seventh Road, Lindwood Drive, before going down Quarry Road. Satterfield reportedly drove through a barbed wire fence before colliding with a large rock, bringing the vehicle pursuit to an end.
He briefly attempted to flee on foot but fell and put his hands in the air—he was taken into custody without further incident. Investigation revealed that Satterfield had multiple warrants out for his arrest, and he also reportedly did not have permission from the owner to be driving the vehicle.
Satterfield is charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, third-degree fleeing or evading police, numerous traffic violations, including having only one headlight, first-degree criminal mischief and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
