Two individuals are facing charges related to human trafficking following an investigation by the Madisonville Police Department.
The investigation began in July of this year when Madisonville police were informed that 60-year-old Bryan Allison of Madisonville had been allegedly using the bond system to induce women struggling with drug addiction to engage in exploitative sexual activity.
Investigation revealed that Allision had reportedly bonded out several women and had nearly $30,000 in bonds active in the court system.
In a review of records at the Hopkins County Jail, including financial and communications records, it was determined that Allison had been in communication with 23-year-old Josie Crafton of Madisonville, who allegedly introduced and ‘sold out’ several women within the jail to Allision over video calls. He would then reportedly compensate Crafton financially and bond out the women.
On Monday, arrest warrants were served against both Allison and Crafton. Allision is charged with human trafficking commercial sex activity and Crafton is charged with promoting human trafficking.
Crafton was located in Lexington by the Lexington Police Department and taken into custody.
