CCHS soccer teams complete play at BGSG; UHA wraps up play Sunday

The Christian County Lady Tigers’ soccer team completed its Bluegrass State Games run on Saturday with a 3-0 record.  Meanwhile, University Heights Academy’s Lady Blazers went 2-0 on their first day of competition in Lexington.  For Christian County, which defeated Letcher County on Friday, Kaydon Coats had a hat trick and Carlie Hobson, Azaa Enkhtugs, and Yadira Idrogo each scored a goal in a 6-0 win over Boone County Saturday morning. Enkhtugs also had an assist.  Later […]

CCHS soccer teams make initial appearance at BGSG

The Christian County Tigers and Lady Tigers made their first official appearances on the soccer pitch as both teams played Friday night in the Bluegrass State Games in Lexington.  The Lady Tigers prevailed 3-0 over Letcher County. Lady Blazers take runner-up at CCHS Invitational

University Heights Academy got a balanced performance from all four of its golfers and took second place in the Christian County Girls’ Invitational Friday at Western Hills Golf Course.  The Lady Blazers missed winning the tournament by only two shots. Heritage Christian Academy’s Cruz Egbert tamed the Western Hills Golf Course Friday afternoon and claimed the individual title in the Christian County High School Boys’ Invitational.  The HCA golfer had five birdies on the day on the way to a 3-under-par 69 to win the tournament by two strokes over Marshall County’s Paxton Carter.
