It will be a doubleheader showdown between the top teams in the Ohio Valley League tonight when the Hoptown Hoppers travel to face the Henderson Flash.
The Flash lead Hoptown by a half-game for first place in the OVL standings. First pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m. while the second game is set for 7:15.
Mother Nature continues to play havoc with the Ohio Valley League baseball schedule.
Rain forced the postponement of all league games on Wednesday night, including the Hoptown Hoppers’ contest at Paducah.
Hoptown (19-7) has not played a complete game since July 3 due to weather and regular scheduled nights off. The Flash are 21-8 entering tonight’s game.
The Hoppers’ next home game is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Saturday against Paducah in the Shirts off Their Back night. Fans can bid on their favorite players’ jerseys by calling or texting 270-305-4350. They also can bid on the jerseys in person on Saturday.
