Tourism spending in Christian County reaches a new record for 2025

For the fourth year in a row, tourism spending in Christian County has set a new record, increasing by $1.6 million from 2024.

In 2025, tourism generated $245 million in revenue, $47.3 million in labor income, $16.4 million in state and local taxes and supported 1,798 jobs. Last year, Kentucky tourism generated $14.6 billion, and 81.1 million travelers visited the state. 

Christian County hosts a wide variety of events that attract travelers, such as Summer Salute, the Butterfly Festival, GoblinCon UFO and Paranormal Expo, the Spring into Summer Salutes Fort Campbell Festival and much more. 

Visit Hopkinsville Executive Director Amy Rogers says breaking tourism records four years in a row is nothing short of extraordinary, and this sustained success is a testament to the tireless, daily dedication of the Visit Hopkinsville team to put this beautiful community on the map. 

Oak Grove Tourism Commission Executive Director Traci Cunningham says this success demonstrates that tourism is not just about attracting visitors; it is about creating economic opportunities and improving the quality of life in the county.
