Madisonville Police arrest man for stabbing incident

Madisonville Police arrested Dustin Townsend after he allegedly stabbed a victim with a knife multiple times resulting in severe injuries on Monday.

According to a report, officers were dispatched to a residence on Hall Street and made contact with the victim who was bleeding heavily due to multiple stab wounds, but was still alert and breathing. The victim was life flighted to a hospital in Madisonville where he reportedly remains in serious condition.

Townsend left the residence before officers arrived, but he was located a short distance away and was placed in custody. He was charged with first-degree assault and is lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
