Lady Tigers finish 4, Tigers take 6th at Warren East meet

The Hopkinsville Lady Tigers’ track team got a balanced effort and finished fourth in the 19-team Warren East Track Inviational on Saturday in Bowling Green.  Leading the way for Hoptown was Leaunna Wilkerson, who took second place in the 100-meter Hurdles and fourth place in the 300-meter Hurdles. Wreck on Skyline Drive sends one to the hospital

A wreck on Skyline Drive last Friday sent a Hopkinsville man to the hospital after he was partially ejected from the vehicle. It happened in the 1200 block of Skyline Drive, according to the report from the Hopkinsville Police Department, not long before 9 p.m. when the passenger tires of a vehicle driven by 43-year-old Cabrandy Grace of Hopkinsville struck a curb. CCPS Track Resurfacing project complete, now open to the public

A track resurfacing project behind Gateway Academy on Elm Street has been completed, and Christian County Public Schools are inviting the public to see the improvements made. The University Heights Academy track team competed Saturday in the Fast Times at Mayfield meet with both the girls’ and boys’ teams having a good weekend.  In the girls’ meet, Kendall Hancock took home a pair of top five finishes. The junior won the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:04.59, edging teammate Amoree Owen, who took second place in 1:06.18. Hopkinsville Police arrest pair connected to recent burglary

Hopkinsville Police arrested 21-year-old Deonquez Jordan-Ray of Hopkinsville and 20-year-old Jabaree Hinton of Clarksville on Friday in connection to a burglary that happened on March 2. According to a report, the pair and another individual unlawfully entered a residence and stole a handgun, two shot guns, shoes and an X-Box gaming system.
