Whitesville Trinity shuts out Hopkinsville in 3 innings

The Hopkinsville Lady Tigers dropped a 16-0, three-inning high school softball game to visiting Whitesville Trinity on Wednesday afternoon.  Ella Morris tossed a no-hitter and slammed a home run for the Lady Raiders.  The Lady Tigers fell to 0-4 on the season and will play host to Webster County today.  Photos by Joe Wilson

Former UHA star George, FCHS’s Anthony to play in Kentucky-Ohio game

Former University Heights Academy basketball star Tylin George and Fort Campbell High School basketball player Tyreek Anthony will represent Kentucky in the Kentucky-Ohio All-Star Basketball Game on April 11.  George, a 6-foot-3 guard, transferred from UHA to Moravian Prep in North Carolina last fall. Hoptown’s Watkins, Jesse sign college football letters

Two Hopkinsville High School football players signed letters-of-intent to continue their playing careers in college during a ceremony Wednesday afternoon in Tiger Gym.  DeAndre Watkins and Aiden Jesse signed with Thomas More University in Crestview Hills and Olivet Nazarene University in Illinois, respectively.  Watkins, a 6-foot-1, 170-pound free safety for the Tigers, recorded 47 tackles, including 31 solo during the 2025 season. Murder charge dismissed in suspected elder abuse case

The woman who was charged with murder in the death of an elderly woman had her charges dismissed Wednesday, following findings from the Medical Examiner’s Office. Bus driver charged following Tuesday wreck on North Drive

Following a collision between a school bus and passenger car on Tuesday, Hopkinsville Police charged Anthony Harris of Hopkinsville with careless driving and failing to yield to the right of way. This week's Jennie Stuart Health-Michael Venable State Farm Player of the Week is Christian County High School sophomore softball player Alondra Rodriguez.
