With Justin Rios stepping as the Public Information Officer at the Hopkinsville Police Department, that’s left people wondering what’s in store for former PIO Colette Marfil, and Paw-trol Officer Bolo.
Officer Marfil has stepped back into patrolling for the police department and Bolo is getting to serve out his title right alongside her as she goes about her police work. And when she moves out of the state with her family in the not-so-distant future, Bolo will go with her, so he can stay with his out-of-office family.
That does mean his police family will be feeling his loss, but new PIO Justin Rios says hopefully the hit won’t be too hard, as he introduced his newest family member and assistant PIO, five-month-old Radar, during a special announcement Tuesday.
Radar is a Belgian Malinois mix from the Christian County Animal Shelter, and with his high energy and intelligence, Rios says Radar will be a great fit for the role.
Rios says Radar is not a replacement for Bolo—who really can’t be replaced as is—but you’ll be seeing Radar out in the community, attending events alongside Rios.
With the adoptions of both Bolo and Radar, this will be the second adoption between the Hopkinsville Police Department and the Christian County Animal Shelter, continuing their connection.
