HPD investigating after shots fired into Glass Avenue apartment

The Hopkinsville Police Department is investigating after shots were fired into an apartment on Glass Avenue late Saturday night.

According to the police report, officers responded to the 1300 block of Glass Avenue not long after 11 p.m. Saturday for reports of a shooting in the area. Upon arrival, they discovered that numerous shots had been fired into an apartment, causing significant damage to a downstairs window and bricks.

Six spent nine-millimeter shell casings were located at the scene. No one was reported injured in the event, and no arrests have yet been made.

HPD is investigating the incident as first-degree wanton endangerment and first-degree criminal mischief.
