Road work to begin on East Center Street in Madisonville

Repairs are set to begin on East Center Street in Madisonville on Friday, with plans to continue paving next week.

According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, crews will begin milling work on Friday and into Saturday along Center Street from just east of Interstate 69 to the CSX Railroad Bridge. The top layer of asphalt will be ground down to create a more even surface for the roadway.

This area includes the turning lanes and crossover at the end of the I-169 southbound exit to Center Street. 

The contractor plans to return and repave this section of roadway on Monday and Tuesday of next week.
