Hopkinsville Police arrest man for crashing stolen car, leaving the scene

Hopkinsville Police arrested 37-year-old Marcus Jamal Love on Friday after he reportedly drove a stolen car into a ditch and attempted to leave the scene. Officers were dispatched to Firestone on Fort Campbell Boulevard for a possible single-vehicle wreck. Christian County goes 1-2 at Apollo Summer Slam Down

The Christian County Lady Colonels’ volleyball team competed in the Apollo Summer Slam Down Tournament on Saturday in Owensboro. Christian County dropped 2-0 matches to Daviess County and West Jessamine but rebounded to defeat Evansville Harrison 2-0. Croney-Sallie grabs middle school boys title in Madisonville

University Heights Academy middle schooler Ronan Croney-Sallie proved too fast to catch Saturday at the Madisonville Classic cross country meet. Croney-Sallie held off Christian County's Lucas Coates at the finish line and won the boys' middle school division race. Hoptown’s Mayes defends title in Madisonville Classic

Hoptown’s Lauren Mayes loves the Madisonville Classic cross country course. She loves it so much that she defended her 2024 title by winning the 2025 race on Saturday. Mayes ran the course in a time of 21:20.42 to beat 53 other runners to the finish line. The Lady Tigers’ Alexis Herrera-Lovato medaled in 10th place and Luanna Acree took 31st.
