The City of Hopkinsville is starting a campaign to bring awareness to motorists to slow down while driving in neighborhoods, with hope of building a safer community.
According to a news release, the city will be providing 100 free yard signs to residents that bear the phrase, “Drive Like Your Kids Live Here” as reminder to drivers to slow it down and prioritize the safety of children and families living in those neighborhoods.
Signs are available for pickup at Hopkinsville Public Works at 705 North Main Street, with a limit of one sign per household—no cost—while supplies last.
Residents are encouraged to place the signs in their yards as a visible reminder to protect our youngest citizens and support the shared goal of making Hopkinsville a safe, welcoming place to live.
