Blazers’ runners take 6th at Calloway County invite

University Heights Academy’s cross country team finished sixth in the Calloway County Invitational on Saturday in Murray.

Junior Jude Finch led the Blazers with a 16^th-place finish in 19:05. Freshman Graham Conrad was 10 seconds behind at 19:15 and finished 17^th. Both received medals for top-20 finishes.

Meanwhile, in the boys’ elementary school 1.1-mile race, Finn Roberts finished 39th and ran a personal record 8:56. Nolan Cavinder finished 82nd with a PR time of 11:25.

In the girls’ middle school 2.1-mile race, Milly Cavinder set a PR, placing 36th with a 20:16 pace.

In the middle school boys’ 2.1-mile race, Lucas Stine took 31st with a PR time of 16:55.

The Blazers return to action Saturday at Paducah in the St. Mary Invitational.
