Hopkinsville Police arrest man for assault incident

Hopkinsville Police arrested 39-year-old Jeffrey Henderson after he reportedly pushed a victim off their bicycle and assaulted them on Tuesday.

Officers responded to the area of South Campbell Street and East Fourth Street for an assault report. At the scene, the victim reportedly told officers that Henderson pushed them off a bicycle, punched them in the stomach and began to choke them.

The victim’s neck reportedly had red hand print marks. Henderson was charged with fourth-degree assault dating violence and second-degree strangulation.
