The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has closed the restrooms at the Christian County Welcome Center on I-24, as they continue to battle with ongoing plumbing issues.
According to a news release, the restrooms at the welcome center located at the Kentucky-Tennessee line in Oak Grove are closed indefinitely, so motorists should plan their visit accordingly.
The Welcome Center itself, the parking lot and the vending area will remain open to the public. There is no timeline currently on when the restrooms might reopen.
Between 1,500 and 2,000 vehicles stop at the Welcome Center on a daily basis.
