Portion of KY 795 in Marshall closed due to sinkhole

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has closed a portion of KY 795 in Marshall County due to a sinkhole. 

According to a news release, the sinkhole developed in the roadway near Whitetail Lane along KY 795—Scale Road—between U.S. 641 and Griggstown Road, just northwest of Benton. Barricades have been placed near Whitetail Lane, at the intersection of KY 795 and U.S. 641 and at U.S. 68.

Engineers will assess the status of the roadway and develop a repair plan. 

There’s no timeline on repairs at this time.
