Teenager struck by vehicle on Hayes Road, flown to Nashville hospital

A 15-year-old was flown to Nashville hospital Thursday night after being struck by a vehicle on Hayes Road in Christian County.

It happened in the 6400 block of Hayes around 7:30 p.m. to reports of a vehicle versus bicycle collision. Hopkinsville Fire and EMS Captain Payton Rogers tells WHOP News they determined the 15-year-old male victim had been hit and then run over by the vehicle.

He was flown to Vanderbilt Pediatrics in Nashville for treatment of serious head injuries.

Kentucky State Police are investigating the incident.
