Hopkinsville Police investigate burglary incident

Hopkinsville Police are investigating after an alleged theft occurred at a residence on Breathitt Street on Saturday.

According to a report, the victim was sitting in their home in the morning when an unknown male in a ski masked entered the residence through the back door unlawfully. Then once officers arrived at the scene, the victim reportedly noticed that their handgun was missing.

Police are investigating the incident as first-degree burglary.
