Victim in fatal Barkers Mill Road crash identified

The victim in the fatal, fiery crash on Barkers Mill Road Sunday has been identified.  Christian County Coroner Scott Daniel has identified him as 24-year-old Lexington Gaines of Clarksville—Gaines was killed in a single-vehicle crash at the intersection of Barkers Mill Road and Carter Road Sunday afternoon.  His vehicle had gone off the roadway for an unknown reason, where it caught fire. Former CCHS assistant coach Kingston dies

Former Christian County High School assistant basketball coach Tris Kingston passed away on Monday in Franklin, Ky., according to a Facebook post from the Union County Kentucky Watch. Kingston was an assistant coach with the Colonels under head coach Lyle Dunbar in the mid-1970s. He was hired as Union County’s head coach in 1977 and coached the Braves through the 1990 season.
