HHS’s Littleton earns Player of the Week

This week's Jennie Stuart Orthopedics-Michael Venable State Farm Player of the Week is Hopkinsville High School's Jaylin Littleton. Littleton took eighth place in the 165-pound division of the KHSAA State Wrestling Tournament last weekend in Lexington. Here is our interview with Littleton conducted earlier this week at HHS.

Circuit Judge approves shell casing examination for double-murder case

Double-murder suspect Anthony Gaines appeared in Christian Circuit Court on Wednesday where his defense attorneys requested additional evidence and shell casing testing. UHA track team excels at State Indoor meet

University Heights Academy put together an impressive performance Wednesday at the Class 1-A Indoor State Track and Field Championships in Louisville. The Blazers’ 400-meter relay team took home the state title. The team is made up of Harlow Hampton, Griffin McCoy, Ryan Luckey, and Tobias Duncan. The final Christian County High School Colonels football schedule has been released by the Christian County Public Schools. The Colonels will play four home games including the opener against Clarksville Northeast on Aug. 23. Other home games include McKenzie, Tenn. Hopkinsville Fire Department donates $6,200 to Pink Ribbon Network

HPD Sgt. recognized for life saving efforts

Hopkinsville Police Department Sergeant Jaritt Beasley was recognized recently for his efforts in January that saved a woman’s life. According to HPD officials, Sgt. Beasley responded to calls of an unresponsive woman on January 19 and upon arrival, immediately began performing CPR on the victim.
