400 Mile Yard Sale set for the first weekend in June

As the weather warms up, thoughts begin turning towards outdoor activities, from vacations to festivals and even to yard saling.

The 400 Mile Yard Sale is set to take place June 5 through June 8 and preparations are already fully underway for participating sellers and for prospective buyers—and for a lot of folks, the 400 Mile Yard Sale is a yearly tradition.  Tara Hall has been an organizer of this event for several years now, and says this year is shaping up to be bigger than ever.

She says she has traveled the whole 400 miles before, and it’s a great chance to witness all the beauty the state of Kentucky has to offer.

The sale stretches the length of U.S. 68 across the Commonwealth and there will be more booths, vendors and trucks than you can count set up along the path.

Hall says it all started as a way to highlight the joys you can find along U.S. 68 from local treasures to state-wide attractions.

A map of other yard sales and events can be found online at 400mile.com. Motorists are reminded to use caution while out driving this weekend and to keep an eye out for slow moving vehicles or pedestrians in the roadway who are seeking out the bargains.
