A two-vehicle crash sent an individual to the hospital for treatment of injuries Thursday morning. Snow crews start pretreating roads

Snow and ice crews with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet have started pretreating roads to prepare for possible inclement weather. Crews started applying a salt brine mixture to roadways on Wednesday evening and Thursday morning. The cabinet urges motorists to use caution when driving through areas where crews are working. A home was destroyed by fire on Vera Drive in Hopkinsville Wednesday night. According to the Hopkinsville Fire Department, two fire stations responded to the area of Vera Drive and West Second Street just before 11 p.m. after law enforcement patrolling in the area noticed smoke. Hopkinsville Police arrested 32-year-old Amber Tinsley of Russellville for drug charges following a traffic stop on December 25.
