The Hopkinsville Tigers will go for their third straight high school basketball win tonight as they travel to Eddyville to take on the Lyon County Lyons. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. with airtime for the F&M Bank Pregame show set for 7:15 p.m. on Newsradio 99.3 FM and 1230 AM WHOP. The Tigers are 8-12 on the season and Lyon County is 15-5. According to statistics released this week by the Kentucky High School Athletic Association, Heritage Christian Academy senior guard Jason Leek is the top scorer in the state, averaging 36.3 points per game. Kamron Snyder appeared in Christian County Circuit Court on Wednesday where his defense attorney and the commonwealth’s attorney discussed organizing mediation ahead of his trial date. A man is facing numerous charges following a brief pursuit in Madisonville Tuesday. According to the Madisonville Police Department, an officer patrolling in the area witnessed a moped ignore a traffic control device and almost strike the officer’s cruiser.
